Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
ComfortCater ("we", "us") provides catering and event-management software for restaurants and venues. This policy describes what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email, phone, and role when a venue creates staff accounts.
- Event and guest data — inquiry details, event dates, menu selections, documents, messages, and payment records that venues and their clients enter into the platform.
- Demo requests — name, restaurant, email, and phone submitted through our demo form.
- Usage data — log and device information used to keep the service secure and reliable.
How we use it
- To operate the platform: leads, bookings, documents, messaging, and payments features.
- To respond to demo requests and provide support.
- To secure, monitor, and improve the service.
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run ComfortCater (hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery) under agreements that limit their use of it.
Venue clients
When a restaurant uses ComfortCater to manage your event, that restaurant is the controller of your event data; we process it on their behalf. Contact the venue for requests about your event information, or email us and we will route the request.
Retention & security
We retain data for as long as an account is active or as required for legal and accounting purposes, and protect it with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time.
